Household appliance examination FAQ
Answers about appliance inspection, site visits, repair, materials, payment and use of examination results.
Answers to your questions
Can an appliance be examined using photographs alone?
Photos and documents help with preliminary assessment of the task. Establishing a fault's cause often requires inspection and testing. Whether remote examination is possible depends on the specific questions and quality of the materials.
Does an examination replace diagnostics or repair?
No. Diagnostics identify the manifestations of a fault, while repair aims to remedy it. Expert examination answers the agreed questions on condition, causes and the technical connection between damage and circumstances.
Can an appliance be examined after repair?
Yes, if usable indicators and materials remain. State which work was carried out and provide the repair work order, photos and retained parts. Alterations to the object may limit the conclusions.
Should I open the appliance beforehand?
Do not open it merely to make an enquiry. Dismantling, breaking seals and other interventions are agreed in advance. External inspection is sometimes sufficient; in other cases, some questions cannot be resolved without access to internal assemblies.
Can the exact date when a defect appeared be established?
This depends on the surviving indicators and documents. An exact date cannot always be established; sometimes only a period or sequence of events can be determined.
Is a receipt required for the examination?
A receipt is useful for understanding the purchase history, but the technical feasibility of examination is determined from the materials as a whole. The legal significance of a missing receipt depends on the circumstances of the dispute and is not determined by a technical examination.
Are site visits available in Moscow and the region?
Site visits and access conditions are agreed separately, taking account of the location, appliance size and required scope of checks.
Can an examination be ordered from another region?
Yes, if the task can be resolved using available materials or arrangements can be made to hand over the object. Delivery, timeframes and the need for in-person inspection are discussed before the order.
Can a relative or another person pay for the order?
Yes. Third-party payment is permitted under the Offer and the particular Invoice-Order. It does not confer a right to demand a predetermined conclusion and does not, in itself, make the payer a recipient of the result.
Can you review a service centre report or another expert's report?
Yes, a document review can be arranged. Checking the reasoning behind its conclusions requires the full version with appendices, the questions posed and available source materials.
Can I immediately appoint a court examination through the form?
The form is for enquiries and agreeing whether work is feasible. A court examination takes place after appointment under the relevant procedural rules; a contractual examination does not become a court examination merely by being ordered.
Does a review guarantee a repeat examination or success in court?
No. A review may identify shortcomings, ambiguities or inconsistencies. Procedural decisions are taken by the court or another authorised person.
How are cost and timeframe determined?
They depend on the appliance, questions, object's condition, volume of materials, site visits and additional work. The specific terms are recorded in the Invoice-Order before payment.
In what format is the result delivered?
On paper and/or electronically, by agreement. The format, number of copies, delivery method and need for an electronic signature are determined by the order terms.
What happens to the files I send?
They are used to the extent necessary for the enquiry or agreed service. For enquiries without a contract, the retention period is up to 90 days from the last substantive message or conversation; contractual materials are retained on the applicable grounds. Details are set out in the Policy and materials terms.
Does submitting an enquiry sign me up for advertising?
No. Subscriptions are arranged separately on the newsletter page, with separate consent checkboxes. A separate form is also available to unsubscribe.
