Household appliance examination procedure

From the initial enquiry and agreement on questions to inspection, examination and delivery of the written result.

From enquiry to the result

  1. Initial inquiry

    State the appliance type, model, fault symptoms, circumstances of the dispute and desired result. A description and necessary materials are sufficient for preliminary assessment.

  2. Clarifying the task

    The subject of examination, availability of the object, specialist's competence, questions and need for inspection are determined.

  3. Agreeing the terms

    The Invoice-Order records the object, questions, scope of work, cost, payment procedure, timeframe and format for delivery of the result. The terms are available before payment.

  4. Preparing the object

    Agree the inspection place and time, access, completeness and documents; if the appliance is handed over, also record its condition and the parts included.

  5. Inspection and examination

    Condition, markings, symptoms, technical indicators and significant conditions are recorded. Checks are carried out within the agreed task.

  6. Additional actions

    If further documents, laboratory work, dismantling or a change to the task are required, their necessity and terms are agreed. Breaking seals and other interventions are permitted on the grounds provided in the contract.

  7. Preparation of the deliverable

    A specialist opinion, review or other agreed document is prepared, describing the examination and setting out conclusions on the questions.

  8. Submission and return

    The result and service completion certificate are provided in the agreed format. Appliances, originals and media are returned under the agreed procedure.

Timeframe, cost and site visits

Paid services start at 15 000 ₽. Indicative timeframes: review of an expert report — at least 5 working days; specialist’s opinion — at least 10 working days; court-appointed expert examination — at least 16 working days. The start and calculation of the period are governed by the Invoice-Order and Offer, taking account of payment, receipt of the complete set of materials and necessary agreements. Site visits in Moscow and the Moscow Region are agreed separately.

If the court has appointed the examination

The examination is carried out under the court order and within the questions set by the court. A procedural appointment differs from ordering an out-of-court opinion: the enquiry process, submission of materials, timeframes and payments are determined in light of the applicable rules and case documents.

Inquiry

Describe the situation and attach documents

Send photos of the appliance, the diagnostic report, repair work order, receipt, warranty certificate and a brief description of the dispute. A preliminary review helps determine the examination format and indicative cost.

  • a reply by telephone or email;
  • consultation based on documents;
  • site visits in Moscow and the Moscow Region by agreement.
