Useful information

Objects of examination

Household appliances, their assemblies, and documents and materials concerning faults, repairs and external effects.

Types of household appliances

  • Washing machines and dishwashers.
  • Refrigerators, freezers and household climate control appliances.
  • Electric cookers, hobs, ovens and microwave ovens.
  • Small household appliances: vacuum cleaners, kettles, irons, coffee machines and other agreed appliances.
  • Individual assemblies and components: power supplies, control boards, motors, pumps and heating elements.

What is examined alongside the object

  • Markings, model, serial number and completeness.
  • Traces of damage, use, repair, opening and replacement of parts.
  • Documents on purchase, warranty, diagnostics and work carried out.
  • Photographs, videos and other materials showing the fault occurring.
  • Information on connection, storage, transport and the external event.

The object after repair or damage

Appliances may be submitted after repair, water damage, electrical or thermal effects. The feasibility and limits of examination depend on the surviving indicators and materials. The more substantial the alterations to the object, the more important the information on its original condition, photographs, reports and retained parts become.

Inspection, delivery and limits of the task

Large appliances can be inspected at their location with agreed access. Small appliances and individual assemblies are handed over by agreement, with their condition and completeness recorded. Inclusion of an appliance in this list does not mean every order is automatically accepted: the task, competence and examination conditions are assessed before work begins.
